One of the most sacred Hindu temples of Nepal

– Pashupatinath Temple is located on both banks of Bagmati River on the eastern

outskirts of Kathmandu. The Pashupatinath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated

to Pashupati, a form of Shiva. As per Shiva Purana, the linga of Pashupatinath that

lies in Nepal has the capacity to fulfill all desires. Pashupatinath temple is given a

status of one of the most sacred Shiva Kshetras (abodes of Shiva) in Skanda Purana,

and is also one of the Paadal Petra Sthalams (Tamil Tevara Sthalam) of Tevaram.

When Lord Shiva was insulted by his father- in- law (i.e

Daksha), his wife Sati Devi was so angry that she jumped into the Yagya.

The Budhanilkantha Temple in Kathmandu is dedicated to Lord

Vishnu in a reclining posture, and its story revolves around a farmer who discovered

the statue while plowing his field, leading to the temple's construction and the belief

that no King of Nepal should ever visit it.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site - The ancient city

Bhaktapur lies on the Eastern part of Kathmandu valley which is also known

as Bhadgaon or Khwopa. The historical monument on around signifies

medieval age culture and tradition of Nepal and this old city is inhabited by

indigenous Newari people in large group.

Boudhanath Stupa, located in Kathmandu, Nepal, is one of the

largest and most significant Buddhist stupas in the world. It is a UNESCO World

Heritage Site and an important pilgrimage site for Tibetan Buddhists. The stupa’s

massive white dome, topped with a golden spire and the all-seeing eyes of Buddha,

symbolizes enlightenment and the universe. The surrounding area, known as

Boudha, is a vibrant hub of Tibetan culture, with monasteries, prayer flags, and

spinning prayer wheels. It’s a peaceful yet lively place where monks, locals, and

tourists walk the kora (circumambulation) around the stupa, spinning prayer wheels

and chanting mantras.

where one can find many pubs, bars, and center for live music. It is famous among all

age groups.
